SASKATCHEWAN IMMIGRANT NOMINEE PROGRAM (SINP)
Qualified applicants will receive a Saskatchewan Provincial Nomination, which will expedite Permanent Resident application process.
SINP provides following categories:
- Skilled Workers
- Family Members
- Long Haul Truck Drivers
- Health Professionals
- Students
- Farmers
- Entrepreneurs
- Large-Scale Investors
- Science and Technology
- Hospitality Sector Project
SINP - Skilled Workers
- Skilled worker/professional/managerial position or in a designated trade; or
- Already worked in Saskatchewan for a minimum of six months on a temporary work permit.
SINP - Family Members
- Signed affidavit of support from one or more family members in Saskatchewan that indicates they will provide settlement assistance;
- Ages of 18-49;
- Completed at least one year of post-secondary education, training or apprenticeship and have received a diploma, certificate or degree;
- One year of work experience in their field of education/training;
- Sufficient language capability to be employable in Saskatchewan; and
- Full-time permanent job offer from a Saskatchewan employer or, intend to find work in Saskatchewan and have adequate funds to live in the province after arrival.
SINP - Long Haul Truck Drivers
- Temporary job offer from a Saskatchewan trucking firm;
- Obtain a work permit;
- Valid trucking license on par with a Saskatchewan Class 1A drivers license;
- At least two years of trucking experience;
- Be able to travel to the United States, if required by the employer; and
- Have a reasonable ability in English.
SINP - Health Professionals
- Working in Saskatchewan on a temporary work permit; and
- Offer of full-time permanent employment.
SINP - Students
- Graduated from a program of at least 1 year of full-time study in Canada and received a certificate, diploma, or degree from a recognized Canada post secondary educational institution;
- Worked for a Saskatchewan employer for a minimum of 6 months under a CIC post graduation work permit; and
- Full-time job offer from their employer.
SINP - Farmers
- Have a net worth of $500,000;
- Signed offer to purchase a Saskatchewan farming operation, or land;
- Visit Saskatchewan within the two-year period prior to making a signed offer to purchase; and
- Demonstrate that they are knowledgeable farm operators.
This category also has a Young Farmers Stream, for applicants who: - Under the age of 40;
- At least three years of experience managing or operating a farm;
- A net worth of $300,000;
- Proposal for a commercial farming opportunity in the province;
- Demonstrate marketable employment skills; and
- Exploratory visit to Saskatchewan prior to submitting their application.
SINP - Entrepreneurs
- Minimum personal net worth of CDN $300,000;
- Minimum investment of CDN $150,000 into a new or existing business in Saskatchewan;
- 3-5 years of proven experience in managing or owning a business;
- Significant funds for establishing a new business or partnership in an existing Saskatchewan business, in which the applicant will have an ongoing management role;
- Plan to own at least 33.3% of the proposed or existing business, or invest CDN $1-million in the business;
- Complete a Business Establishment Plan demonstrating the applicant's intent;
- Provide a full disclosure of business assets and debt; and
- Make a good faith deposit of CDN $75,000 in two parts, with $2,500 due when the completed application is accepted and the rest due when the applicant is nominated.
SINP - Large Scale Investors
The Entrepreneur category of the Saskatchewan PNP includes a priority stream for Large Scale Investors, for Entrepreneurs who intend to make an investment of CDN 1-million or more. Applicants can also request the nomination of up to 10 critical members of their management team.
SINP - Science and Technology
- Own a patent and intend to commercialize it through an active investment in Saskatchewan;
- Own an innovative IT idea and intend to commercialize it through an active investment in Saskatchewan; or
- Intend to actively invest in a partnership with an existing Saskatchewan science and technology-based firm.
SINP - Hospitality Sector Project
- Valid Temporary Work Permit for one of the following occupations;
- Food/Beverage Server
- Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper
- Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff
- Employed by a Saskatchewan employer for a minimum of 6 months;
- Completed a minimum of Grade 12 education (or equivalent); and
- Sufficient English language ability for continued employment in Saskatchewan.
