INTRODUCTION
Trades professionals are involved in every aspect of our day-to-day lives - from building homes and repairing vehicles to preparing food and adding a touch of beauty to your hairstyle. 

More and more in this world of business, industries and employers need young people who have practical knowledge and skills directly contributing the growth of their business. Furthermore, people with practical skills are highly needed in every developed society and Canada demands those more than any other countries. 

To a young people who graduated from high school and think about changing their career, apprenticeship course in Canada can be an opportunity to a new world.

PROGRAM DETAILS

  • Period: 8 ~ 24 months/course
  • Age: over 18 (high school graduates)
  • English proficiency requirement: submitting TOEFL PBT 550
    (conditional admission for taking prior College ESL course can be provided)
  • Course options:
    Aviation maintenance, mechanic, plumbing, welding, carpentry, computer networking, culinary art, etc
  • Housing: college dormitory or homestay
  • Area: Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto

ADVANTAGE TO IMMIGRATE TO CANADA (PERMANENT RESICENCE):
Upon graduation and working experience in a Canadian company, students can be eligible to apply for immigration to Canada (see Canadian Experience Class).  Also, EACH PROVINCE PROVIDES PRIORITY ASSESSMENT FOR PROVINCIAL NOMINEE APPLICATION FROM SKILLED WORKERS.

FAST-TRACT TO PERMANENT RESIDENCE: MANITOBA PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Beginning in 2011, international graduates from a post-secondary educational program of at least two academic years at a Manitoba institution will be able to apply immediately to the provincial nominee program in advance of receiving an offer of employment. Previously, international graduates could only apply to the Manitoba provincial nominee program after working for a Manitoba employer for at least six months. As part of the changes, international students applying for the fast-track program will also enrol in an employment-readiness program upon completion of their studies. The program will include job readiness, career coaching and job-matching services.
