Who We Are
Hanwood Emigration is a Canada based immigration and education consulting company. We are authorized by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada to give advice and represent our clients who want to study, work, or immigrate to Canada. We have been certified by the ICCRC (Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council). Hanwood owner, Mr. Jay Choi (also known as Jangjoo Choi) is a full member of the ICCRC.
Mr. Choi emigrated from Korea to Canada on August 2002. Soon after his landing to Canada, he proposed Hanwood Short-term English Immersion Program to Canadian schools. The Program was getting popular and is well-known to Koreans as “Schooling Program”. As the Program grows, Hanwood introduced Long-term English Immersion Program for middle and high school students, and also College ESL plus and Apprenticeship courses for adult students.
While more and more students experience Hanwood Program, search jobs and want to stay longer, or often permanently in Canada, we were naturally interested in finding solutions to support them. To involve immigration matters legitimately, Mr. Choi became a member of the ICCRC. As Mr. Choi is a RCIC (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant), Hanwood can provide seamless service to students, workers, and immigration applicants to Canada. Through his own experience as a business nominee to Manitoba, Canada, he also understands well about the whole immigration process.
His Chinese interpreters, Mr. Hao Guo and Ms. Rui Hu came to Canada on October 2002 and April 2006. Mr. Hao Guo graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Science major, and is working as a technician for a Canadian security company. Ms. Rui Hu graduated from the Red River College with an Accounting major, and works for a Winnipeg based manufacturing company.
What We Do
Since April 2003, Hanwood developed programs for students, workers, and immigrants to Canada. For students, there are Short or Long-term Schooling, Christian Schooling, College ESL Plus, Apprenticeship (Technical Vocational Training) Program, and University or College Program. For workers, Hanwood provide service for Skilled Worker, and Semi-skilled worker applicants. For immigrants, Hanwood can support for Provincial Nominee Program, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker, Family Sponsorship, and Business Immigration Program.
These programs are both independent and related. Programs can be provided separately or as a continuing step-by-step package. In their early years, students can participate in Short-term Schooling Program. They may come again for a Long-term Schooling in their middle or high school years. Adult students can choose college ESL or Technical Vocational Training Program. Finally, they can apply for a Permanent Residence based on their qualification. For clients who are interested in immigration to Canada, Hanwood can advise variety of programs.
